Agenda Auburn Meadows Quarterly Meeting

June 24, 2025 – 6:30 p.m.

  1. Call to order – Tom Edwards, President at 6:31. Tom made motion and Donna seconded to begin meeting. 
  2. Roll call – Jan Siler
  3. Tom Edwards, President; Mimo Youssef, absent Treasurer;  Donna Wissler, At Large present; Deanie Gustin, At Large Villas present; Jim Curran, At Large present; Melissa Falter, VP Villas present; Jan Siler, Secretary present.
  4. Approval of minutes from last meeting – Jan Siler. Tom made motion to approve. Deanie Gustin Seconded to approve. All in favor. No opposed.
  5. Treasurer’s Report– Mimo Youssef – The treasurer’s report. Mimo left the report.
  6. Committee Reports
  7. Pool Maintenance & Operations – Donna said that when pool techs backwash the pump sand is coming into the pool. When Phillip comes back he will be notified. Jim said that he would look at it and see if he can figure out a solution. One of the pool loungers is broken. Tom said he would review the camera footage and see if he can figure out what happened to it. We will ask Mimo if there is money in the budget for a few new lounge chairs. Tom suggested buying some new chairs if there is money available for some chairs. We are still having some issues with people swimming after hours. Tom will check the cameras to see if we can figure out how that is happening. Tom mentioned that we are having problems with kids/adults letting other people into the pool who do not live in Auburn Meadows. Tom said the OKC police will talk to us about problems like that. He has reached out to them to get some advice. The HOA will get a sign for the pond saying “Auburn Meadows residents only. No swimming or boating in the pond”.
  8. Architectural/Maintenance  – There were no requests for approvals on remodeling or building submitted since the last meeting.
  9. Communication Committee – Jan Siler – If anyone has news to share with our FB page, let her know.
  10. Social Committee – 4th of July Party is July 5. Fall Garage sale – Sept 26-27. Donna made the motion and Deanie seconded to set the date as Sept. 26-27. All in favor. No dissent. Motion passed.
  11. Clubhouse Workout equipment – Donna Wissler – All equipment is working at this time. We have Push Pedal and Pull who maintain the equipment.
  12. Old Business –
  13. Request for Volunteers -You do not have to be a Board member to serve on a committee. There will be an opening on the Board for 2026.
  14. Update from City Council Meeting, Postponed to June 17, 8:30AM- Council Chamber, Third Floor Municipal Building, 200 N Walker Ave., OKC.  Status of apartments proposed for 178th & Penn. Tom thanked LeighAnn Brown for her efforts at dealing with the developer who is proposing to put apartments in at 178th and Penn. The developer agreed to concede to all of our requests, which include going to all two story buildings (townhomes), one access (to residents) off of 178th, masonry walls facing the school, and some other concessions.
  15. New Business
  16. The Board will consider updating the covenants and bylaws. Cost is a factor in this decision. The Villas went through this process about two years ago and will help us with information.
  17. Deanie said that Terri Jungels asked if someone could use an outlet in their neighborhood to hook their speaker up for the July 5th party. Melissa Falter said they could use her house. Jim met with the fireworks director who said we need to trim a few trees that are close to the area where the fireworks will be. Jim knows which trees need to be trimmed. Tom will call his tree trimmer to get a price for the trimming. Jim agreed to meet with the tree trimmer to show him which trees need work.
